Early Childhood Intervention

Providing quality early childhood intervention early in a child’s life supports children to develop the skills they need to take part in everyday activities and to be included in family and community life. When Early Childhood Intervention is accessed early in life, it can potentially reduce the amount of supports needed in later life.

Early Childhood Intervention is also important for families as this is when families learn how to support and nurture their child, how to meet their child’s needs and how to adapt to having a child with a disability and/or developmental delay.
